Kim Albers-Clements |
“Hello, my name is Kim Clements and I was born and raised in St. Charles, Missouri. I graduated from Missouri Baptist University in 2003, and accepted a teaching position here at Montgomery County R-II in 2006. I soon fell in love with the community and made the move to Montgomery City. I have spent the past 17 years teaching our district’s youngest students as the Early Childhood Special Education Teacher. My husband and I married in 2012, and we have two children, Evan and Emma. We attend church at the United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Wellsville, and we love spending time on the golf course here in Montgomery City. My son Evan has significant medical needs, and has had numerous surgeries and hospitalizations. The importance of quality care for those that need it in rural areas is near and dear to my heart. I became familiar with the home health side of our department when Evan was discharged with a port and a ventricular drain after a series of brain surgeries in 2015. Having nurses monitor his care in our home, vs having to remain in patient or engage in daily trips back and forth to Cardinal Glennon was vital to our family and his healing. Seeing the level of care and expertise this department holds is awe inspiring. From wound care to therapy services, our health department is a wonderful asset to our community. I have had the privilege of serving on the board for the past 4 years and I am grateful that I get to serve our community alongside our amazing staff and my fellow board members.”
